Guys... I was kinda warned in the comments, but this was SO BAD, omg . Art was bad, story was bad, characters were bad--just, ALL bad. I skim read most of it cuz I wanted to see if it got better, but it didn't. I wasted my precious Sunday night on this (Also, did I miss it because I was kinda skimming, or did the prologue scene *never actually happen* ?! )

Came back to finish this absolutely wonderful story, but I'm on the section where MC is reuniting with his mum and it's all "heartwarming" and stuff, and I can't. This woman left her 10 year old son in the hands of a physcially and emotionally abusive father. It was her responsibility to get her AND her child out of that situation, and she only saved herself. It's incredibly selfish and makes her entirely complicit in the abuse he suffered.
