This is still relatively decent and the illustrator can draw pretty kids because some can make supposed angels ugly.
Did everything made sense? No, not all. Don't hate the seme for turning 180, be weirded out by the uke for staying after all that. But the story is pretty straight forward, seme fell for his own tricks and the uke who had nothing got attached to the only person who treated him "better" because there is no one else to compare or run to. Plus the pheromone thing being a loophole to everything regarding their relationship.
The best parts of this series is revenge. Everyone got their revenge against everyone they needed to give it. And most of the why's were pretty much answered. Wished seme's story got more elaborated though so it wouldn't feel like the author just added it in to explain where the seme was coming from. The whole non-romance part and the side characters were very entertaining, had they have been explored more.
Plus the crying and bickering, it turned to a comedy at some point.
Honestly, they were BOTH wrong. I guess I'm into a whole lot of mental gymnastics but Taesoo can easily be manipulated. From the first 10 chapters, he's rough but it was obvious he can be a softie if you pull the right strings. Was Taesoo wrong that Yeomin so TOO prideful? NO. Because Yeomin DOES need help, worse he doesn't communicate enough to make Taesoo be more malleable with their arrangement. Because all Taesoo wanted was for Yeomin to rely on him. I think Taesoo did communicate some of what he wanted but of course, it was also not enough.
Yeomin pulled the wrong strings and got the worst of Taesoo. Tbf, it's not the worst since there's no rape yet. But this current behavior could have been avoided.
Am I blaming Yeomin? Yes, partly.
Taesoo is also partly wrong. He's an adult and should have known Yeomin's character and avoided what can trigger Yeomin's ego. They both stroked each other's wrong egos.
If anyone else knows BigBang, you'd be familiar with everything that happened with them. As a VIP, the last chapter 148, definitely struck a cord. With celebrities I spent my younger years with, the songs and performances that entertained me while I was traveling, going through good times and hard times, it was hard to get through everything that happened with them. As a fan, I just wished them well. To hear that from the artists themselves and be reassured that you'd keep hearing music from them, feels like a part of my identity is safe or saved.
There's still quite a few more to explore story-wise. Garam's family and coming out to them, introducing Jaehyuk. And more Garam and Jaehuyk's mom - they would jive really well.
Salt Heart and Daily Part Time Job have pretty much the same MC but I don't get pissed off with SH's but I quite do with DPTJ's. I guess because with SH, the ML barely showed affection and for the most part kept the MC at a distance up until a 3rd party showed up and he got quite jealous. The story is also fast paced and the ML's affection is barely established from dongsaeng to a lover. It makes complete sense for the MC to think he's not loved or that the ML is just forcing himself. It doesn't help that MC put himself in that situation (the rut), then ML doubted if the kid is his. Plus the MC is actually receptive of help. He's not accepting he'll be loved but admits, accepts and is appreciative of the help he was given.
DPTJ took it's time to make the ML fall in love, making us viewers believe he is already in love even if the ML was initially denying he has fallen in love. He was also the one who couldn't stand being too distant with the MC. It's annoying that the MC has not noticed that the ML has changed already. I appreciate him knowing his place and not assuming/biting more than he can chew love/romance-wise, but at the least he could've been more receptive of the help he's been receiving (money-wise). The MC is prideful and that is fine love-wise but money-wise? He should have toned it down. I am annoyed at it and it's the same for the ML, he got annoyed too, hence the conflict in the latest chapter.
Both were right and wrong from what I can see. After everything, MC is still not as accepting of ML's help, or at least made ML feel that. And being realistic, his problems were so deep, he'll keep drowning with no chance of getting saved had ML did not step up. ML also pushed too hard and too many buttons going desperate to make MC stay. This is what happens when they don't talk and just not sync. Oh well.
Because why keep the phone TURNED ON FFS. At the least shove it where it won't ever be heard.
Idem being in his own world was relatable af. I am not sick but my parents always fought and I always turned to screens to tune out everything. But wtf am I not creative?! Can't write, can't draw, can't color, can't cut properly. I don't have single art bone in my body.
They are getting too close/caring for fuck buddies and in such short amount of time. This is definitely the ML is going to fall hard first route...he slept on the same bed after sex on their first night. Lol. I love this so much, I hope the art is going to be consistent through out.
Wanting to see more screen time for Lily and the mom, honestly I think it will just detract the story. The mother is literally making amends by doing everything behind the scenes, doing intel work and making sure they are secured when the contract ends. It has been 2 or 4 years after the marriage, they are in a somewhat stable environment and Lily has to make adventures of her own, because she can now be a child. Even more so nearing her puberty. She now has independence like a normal child would.
The mother is also living a life in a more comfortable way, not always thinking of revenge, depression or pain. And admit it or not, NOTHING will satisfy readers whether the author adds more mother and daughter scenes because people who hate will keep on hating.
He's a sex fiend...no need to keep shoving it to our faces. Ffs. Still reading maybe we'll get more family time. It's nice seeing the ML with the kids, we need more of that.
Knew the key to all this is JH just stepping back and letting go. It's quite an assumption that JH had an easy life. I think that's somewhat true but also somewhat false. Albeit a bit spoiled, JH had his fair share of beatings from his mom. He's capable because he was taught. So I think GR was not exactly right to assume that. And even though I loved GR for his pride, he didn't know how to turn it down and finally after him taking him weeks, and needing to be threatened, learned to dial it down. Where will find a guy who would do all that
And can't believe anyone doubted the mom. She was honestly not giving straight up homophobe. She was just not trusting JH to be that serious, even more so in a relationship she never considered possible. JH parents are the perfect couple, imo. I couldnt help but agree to both of them while JH was wallowing. Hope to see more of them because I enjoy their screen time a lot.
