to be fair, he was completely in the wrong for aiming at a woman in a relationship and he was extremely pushy with seeing her so i def get THAT. But i also think he had lots of importance towards Asuka’s character development. She needed to realize she loved marriage with Ryu and not just someone with the same ideals. And he had some redeeming qualities too right guys?? right?? right….That last kiss they shared I feel like was consensual, and it felt very satisfying because let’s be honest; both of them are very nuanced characters and they had a special relationship. That final kiss was a goodbye kiss from both of them, signaling that they were moving on: Asuka from running away from her feelings and Kamiya by ending his chase after Asuka. Idk, Kamiya to me is an interesting character. I think he deserves a little bit of a break considering he actually loved Asuka and we can infer that this is either his first love one of his first loves since he had that ideal for marriage and changed after he met asuka.
I agree. He was a major part in her character development and I don’t think he was a bad guy at all.
