This was nice. THIS is the BL I like to read. No unrealistic drama, rivals, all that stuff. Just a romance that develops naturally and feels a lot like a close friendship, which, I think, is the kind of relationship I'd like to have with someone one day. I've certainly preferred this to the majority of the BL I've read. I also like that there were no side couples, because I really don't like those. I don't exactly prefer shounen ai to yaoi, as a lot of them play into the same tropes without the sex, but the lack of the stuff that I'm always afraid to see when I read yaoi (especially non con) is also a big plus. And it's nice not to be inadvertently turned on by things you don't really want to be turned on by. I've liked all of the BL manhua I've read in the past year (this, Salad Days, and Here U Are), maybe Chinese comics are where it's at

I'm sorry but as a fujoshi, I've read a lot of yaoi and not all of them involve rape. Most the ukes in the mangas/manhwas I've read don't take it lightly. I've seen alot of fujoshis even complain about the rape scenes.
And what I meant by "the ukes don't take it lightly" is that they won't let the same get away with it or some of them even push the seme away

If you're just curious about the yaoi stories, you sure started at the wrong side of yaoi. There are so many yaois out there that has fabulous storylines, so much that they could make even a smut scene lover like me love the plot more than the smut scenes.

Ofcus you can, but for beginner yaoi readers to start from rape yaois is obviously too much for them. Most people will end up finding it gross and difficult to read, etc. ╮(╯_╰)╭ Which will in turn make them think yaoi stories are all gross like this, which obviously isn't he case.
