They’re saying that it’s still Yaoi because the uke was shown jerking off. The only reason the smut scene wasn’t shown is because the seme is a minor. Props to the author for that too.

It technically still is. Jerking off is still smut. And I’m pretty sure when they become adults we’ll see the actual sex parts, but as I said he’s a minor so the author isn’t showing us that. It’s also tagged as 19+ which means the author 10/10 has probably had plans for actual smut scenes with intercourse.

Its still nudity and explicit content which means it’s still smut. Smut isn’t always sex nor does it have to be. Shounen is usually just thinks with a kisses, or just soft romance with little to no physical touching. I already said we’ll probably see the sex scenes in the future too becuase it’s still 19+.
