it means following. You comment that if you also want answers. When you comment on someone's post, you will receive notifications if others had commented too. But FF isn't really a necessary word to comment,but it was used by so many and for so long already.

I am even more confused. I've seen that response a couple times in the comments, and seeing that it simply mean, "following" doesn't make any sense
It just means they want to be updated on the replies that get posted for the topic. Like they want to find out what manga the op was looking for as well or something along those lines.
It can also mean fan fiction I think.
