These are gay, bi, and queer men you're reading about, swinging and polyamory is much more prevalent and accepted in queer culture than in straight culture. If so much of BL can have absolutely unethical rape, a little bit of consensual polyamory doesnt hurt anybody. If its cheating then thats a different matter.

The theme for this era seem to be “I live with my abusive parent now I will rebel and kill that scum fiancee and will found a true love” which is a total cliche unlike from the past years which mostly was all about revenge, mayhem, fantasy and getting to know what karma is.
