I think it’s a bit funny that the moment the new chapters came out and when the author released his “apology” is when everyon started saying “PeOpLe ArE OvErSenSitiVe TheSe DaYs.” Which isn’t true, just in case you’ve forgot the author intentionally put the n word in his comic, HARD R mind you. I hear a lot of people saying that “black people can be racist too.” And that is completely correct black people are also racist or colorist to other black people (and other races of course), just like in Korea. HOWEVER, what got me bamboozled is how the racism was portrayed to be perpetrated by a minority in Korea. But, with a little common sense you’ll realize that there is a 1/100 chance that a black person or anyone of any other nationality will be racist or bully a full Korean person (That was an exaggeration not a fact). At least to the point that the foreigner would be ridiculed or shunned by others. Also to the people making excuses for the grown ass author. I’m afraid with a quick 15 minute google search and critical thinking he would find that more people in Korean are xenophobic to foreigners and people who were born in Korea than the minorities. LAST POINT, to the people that say “iF YoU DonT LiKe iT ThEn LEeEeAvE.” What? Do you run away from all your problems. Believe or not some people in korea have never interacted with a black person before. By reading something so incorrect they can have the mindset that black people are vulgar violent people and they shouldn’t like them. If you can’t tell this is harmful, not every black person is violent. Yes, I do acknowledge that the creator has put slurs relating to Asians in his story. However it is just that, they can relate to it, some Koreans maybe haven’t heard the n word or know how to use it. Therefore, that chapter is teaching the opposite of the message it is trying to portray. ANYWAYYYYSSS that is all, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk :))
