im already in chap 7 and i am genuinely predicting that the main charac is a p3p0phile keeping an eye on his 17 yo. like what the hell, why isnt ANYBODY pointing taht shit out.. The coverphoto of this yaoi just looks like them so i AASUME that the mc and the 17 yo will be together?? man am i insane??
Novel? Cuz if you mean the manhwa will it's ongoing and not finished. This is a slowburn so I don't know where you get the p3dophile since he doesn't have romantic feelings for ML and just really want to help him. Clearly you didn't read it nor understand the story
And before throwing some words make sure you clearly understand what a p3dophile means and who or when's the right time to use it

Fr, he's not weird at all what's that dude saying even. Bro's just trying to look after the 17yr old
R u mental? Either read everything that’s currently uploaded or don’t talk at all.. Soju isn’t interested in the mc romantically at all yet, and the guy is soon if not already 19
Girlie even if hes looking after him now they're still gonna get together later so its still basically grooming Jumas
I think people are throwing around the word “grooming” and "pedophile way too easily here.
Grooming isn’t just an age gap, it involves manipulation, taking advantage of someone’s vulnerability, or building a relationship with the intent to control or exploit them.
And from what I’ve read and understand so far, Seju isn’t doing any of that. He’s not pressuring him, not isolating him, and not helping him in exchange for anything sexual or romantic. Also, ML the one who caught feelings on his own and them being in a relationship didn't happen early on. In fact they also belong to manhwa's or novels that have the most slowest burn relationship.
It’s totally fine if you don’t like the age gap, but that doesn’t automatically make it grooming or pedophilia. Those are serious terms and shouldn’t be used just because there’s an older/younger dynamic.

I understand that but grooming doesn't always have to be on purpose if you basically raise a kid and as they grew up you suddenly develop feelings for them even if you're aware you raosed and looked after them thats still grooming just because its in a form you're not familiar with doesn't mean it isnt
Also i wouldn't have any issue for the age gaps if the two characters met as adults
I get what you’re saying, and I agree that dynamics like this can feel uncomfortable, especially when one character had a caregiving role growing up. There’s definitely a power imbalance there that doesn’t just disappear.
But I think calling it grooming isn’t really accurate in this case. Grooming usually involves intent where someone builds a relationship with a minor *with the goal* of it becoming romantic or sexual later. But in this story and dynamic, that intent just isn’t there. The older character didn’t raise him with those feelings or expectations.
What makes it complicated isn’t grooming, but the shift in roles... from caretaker to potential partner. That’s where the discomfort comes from, and I think it’s valid to feel weird about it because of that.
Also, in this specific case, Sejin is the one who develops feelings first, and the Seju didn’t influence or shape that outcome. So it feels more like a messy emotional situation than something predatory.
So yeah, I’m not saying everyone has to be okay with it—but I think there’s a difference between “this dynamic is uncomfortable” and “this is grooming,” and that distinction matters.
