Oh my goodness, letting this marinate for a while was definitely worth it. It has good pacing and it sticks to the plot without meaningless sidestories but the world still feels fleshed out. Most importantly the lead is likable, reasonable and strongwilled without her feeling like she's just overpowered. A cornerstone of the villainess genre for sure. 8/10
I normally don't comment on here but this has got to be one of the worst god damn stories i've ever read. It starts off cute, but soon just becomes absolute garbage. The emperor has 0 likeable traits besides being hot, he kidnaps him, kills his best friend, wages wars killing the innocent, physically abuses him, AND HE STILL FALLS IN LOVE WITH HIM?!?!?!? That would be fine and all if it was a horror manga about stockholm syndrome but no! This is all painted as romantic and somehow forgivable. Fucking what. I'm so mad i spend my life reading this, spare yourself. -4/10
