Anw, i kinda appreciate how Guwon actually listened to teach here. Spending his time with him really smoothened his rough edges, even if it's just a little bit.
But I still don't trust him. The dude taking the bullet might just be a ruse to soften the mcs heart. Like, yes, he did it because he is fond of the mc but it can also be an emotional levarage he could use. Also, my memory is hazy but isn't Guwon not a human? What if he is an entity that doesn't die?
This is why I don't trust any online reading platforms my money. Wdym ppl bought the chapters but they don't get to download it. So there's no way of retrieving the stories once any of those sites shut down. Atp, you're just paying to rent.
For ppl who want to support authors, I recommend just buying the physical versions if its feasible in where you live. At least you actually get to own the book.
Publishers aren't gonna drop thousands of dollars printing, warehousing, and shipping physical copies without proof that people will actually buy them. And they definitely aren't checking pirate sites to gauge hype but they track numbers on official platforms. So good luck buying physicals for a series that bombed digitally, because that book literally won’t exist. Cry about digital platforms all you want, but paying for those chapters is the only reason physical copies ever see the light of day...
Plus most digital platforms allow you to earn their currency FOR FREE. I have around 15 manhwas fully unlocked on T-pas and I paid zero dollars; all I did was free ink events and fortune cookie. So yeah, you don't actually have to spend too much money (or any at all) to support legally.

Not my fault billion/million dollar companies set up a wacky system where it's a lose lose situation for authors, paying buyers, and potential buyers if the big wigs decide to pull the plug.
No matter how you glaze those corpos, they don't care about the readers morality or feelings bec. that entity has neither. They just want to make money even if it means blindsiding readers and authors with bad decisions. Many tapas users complained that instead of investing their money in improving Tapas, kakao execs pumped it into AI animations and anti piracy. If they used their brain and actually put more effort in advertising and making Tapas more attractive to potential buyers instead, maybe theyd be getting money.
Now they're screwing over dedicated readers because of their poor decisions. Mind you they didn't even state any refunds for all the money spent on the purchases there. And didn't inform authors ahead of time aout their decision. Plain and simple, they don't gaf about readers AND authors. Illegal readers were never the main issue, but we became common scapegoats by corpos because it's easier for them to pass the blame than actually try to fix their broken and predatory system.

If these platforms don't even care enough to retain foreign authors, then that means they view foreign readers the same. They just milk the int. readers money and then drop them when it's convenient. Not wasting my hard earned money on that.
You'd have to scroll farther down, down just to find the decent translation that isn't fucking AI. I'm starting to hate this site more and more. I wish btt will come back or another pirate site will appear with a stricter rule against AI scanlators.
