or maybe i just define perfect differently.

whenever i chance upon new books or manhwas or movies that make me pause, feel, laugh, weep, yearn, and I read lines that hitch my breath, I call them perfect.

William in the Closet is a poignant storytelling. The art drew me in, the characters made me fall in love with each of them, and each dialogue interwoved magnificently. Each moment had me grasping at straws, "How long til they meet again?" And when the story was getting dangerously drawing to a close I feared that each time they meet would be the last time they see each other.

I love Julia and William so much. I cried when they cried, I fell in love with them when they did, and their longing for each other was almost tangible it made my heart physically hurt.

So yes, this story story is perfect. It has its plot holes, but who cares? Just kidding. The beauty of the story made up for that.

If you're looking for a sign to read this, this is it.

I read you comment and decided to read it, and now I can say that you really did it justice with the way you worded it. I wouldn't have read it without this, tysm

I love thiiisss so much! I lowkey regret I didn't let it marinate before reading, but at the same time I'm glad I came across this gem while it's still updating!

Anybody knows manhwas just like this one? I can think of Miss Pendleton, would love to know if there are others out there.

I'd recommend The Count's Secret Maid, Your Eternal Lies, and The Male Leads Trapped in My House!! all have gorgeous artstyles and their stories are top-tier!!

Yes! These are all in my top-tier manhwas too. I'll take it as a sign to reread The Male Leads Trapped in My House for the nth time.

If there are other manhwas you can recommend, would def check it out!

if you're still hesitating even after reading that plot and browsing the comments to see if this is something reading worthwhile, I will hold your hand as I say this, "It is."

Art? Sublime.
Humor factor? Hilarious.
Pacing? Well-done.
Characters? So well-written (with well-written backstories to boot)
Plot? If this isn't great, I dunno what is.
The comment section? Peak sluttiness hahaha

Slight spoilers ahead

I almost didn't want to read this. But I am glad I did. I almost never got to know this gem.

I have a 500 word essay on this but Imma keep this comment short hahah (I'll try at least)

In the early chapters, we see her with Frederick. Honestly, that was uncomfortable considering she was married. But in the later chapters, it was revealed they never did the act. It was also in the later chapters that the author explored and showed her reflections on her feelings for Frederick — which is akin to feelings towards a teddy bear. A source of comfort and nothing else.

Serena's character is perfectly flawed. And in moments of weakness and adversity, she shows how capable, decisive, and stubborn she is. Her character design is so perfect that her actions and decisions align with her motivations and circumstances.

I love the complexity in each character and how their complexities are interwoven with each other. It's interesting to see how they each handle the circumstances they are in and how they respond to difficulties, which overall adds value to the plot.

S3 will def be more angsty. And I think the author will wrap it up nicely.

If you are looking for a sign if you should read this or not, give this a chance. Hahaha

Damn. This has kdrama potential. Like it'll be like Scarlet Heart but painful in its own right and with way more angst.

G2Wolfe July 16, 2021 2:12 pm

I'm honestly getting more and more confused. Plus, this is hella scaring the shit out of me.

It's good. Like read good: the art, story, (the pacing is quite slow), the anticipation of the turn of events is really really making my head turn.

It's not horror, but the angst and suspense are enough to give me shivers down my spine. ┗( T﹏T )┛

"Your dream is my dream." We all know he wasn't only just talking about making Kyte the emperor.

That was such an exhilarating read. I was so tempted to read through comments to spoil myself (because the suspense was making it hard for me to breathe), but I held out. And it was so worth it.

If you haven't read this yet, you're in for a ride.

(May contain spoilers for those who haven't read chap 21 yet)

The recently updated chapter, which is 21.

Hell that chapter opening was a good one!

When he said that education was for the few privileged people. And even though he wasn't indulging in the corrupt practice, it does not mean he was a good person. After all, he was not putting a stop to it since he was benefitting from it as well. HELLA ON POINT! I love this author. Srsly. I wanna hug this author.

And what I loved more about this chapter is how Elena handled the confrontation!!!!!! She was just chill and level-headed. Likeee, those people came at her with bad intentions but she calmly TALKED it out with them and made them see the truth behind her circumstances without being forceful. Usually in confrontations scenes like this in other stories, someone will walk out or be hailed as a winner. However this confrontation, this is what COMMUNICATION is. You listen to me, I listen to you. "I listen not to come up with rebuttals just for the sake of saying I got something back to say. And I talk to get my message across to make you understand without spiting you."

I love this manhwa. This is just so precious. Really

G2Wolfe May 13, 2021 1:47 am

This is not connected to the actual flow of the story. Haha so this ain't a spoiler (but may still contain a spoiler) I guess, this is more like a theory (my hopeful mind conjuring ideas)

WHAT IF...

A crown princess candidate said that there are a total 101 volumes of the book. And each of the princess candidate is the protagonist in each and have a different genre/story. Evie is the protagonist of the 101st volume. And it isn't (maybe it isn't yet revealed because I'm only at chapter 39) revealed what the genre and story is.

What if! What if the irony is, despite her outgoing and fun personality, the genre of that volume is a tragedy?

And the story is Renok and Evie fell in love with each other during the campaign. (Here me out, I know in this manhwa's story Renok is a second ML) What if in that volume, they fell in love and they had a tragic end?

To be honest, I love Renok. I'd love to see him and Evie happy together (even if it is only in my imagination uwu) (▰˘◡˘▰)
