most of the time the untranslated version is ahead of the translated version which is why people ask for it...so they can see what's to come

What does it mean if a manga is a promo and why does everyone hate it?
It usually means it will not be an up and coming manga or be turned into a manga. It is usually just a PROMOtion of the novel to get people to read the novel. We all hate it because the promo usually looks good and then it turns out it’s not a manga so we lose our hopes.
I'm pretty sure it means that it's "promo"ting the novel and has a low chance of actually getting turned into an actual series. Correct me if I'm wrong (=・ω・=)

I think cause promo just contain 1 chapter that looks like a trailer of some sort.
It's not a promotion of manga but the novel. So i guess that's why people hate it.
It's promoting the novel hence, the animation won't continue. On some occasions, it might but mostly it won't.
I knew it was coming but I was hoping it wouldn’t :(
