Okay, after a throughout analysis of previous chapters, here is my prediction. 1. JK gonna "investigate" who leaked the info about his injured shoulder. Everything is going to point at Dan and he'll jump into conclusion. Gonna mess up and hurt uke. 2. While investingating we are going to get his (kinda) pov and deep dive into his past and perspective on everything. 3. This chapter, imo, is the beginning of redemption arc aka Infliction of irreversible (from readers viewpoint) pain to uke that will bring seme to his senses and makes him realize his "suppressed" feelings.

Chapter 40 must be labeled as "post nut clarity"

As long as money involved in their relationship, Kim Dan will never be free to make decisions, choices and have a saying in it. You're delulu if you think he was softening because he made Dan's life easier (in terms of debt), it was simply for his own convinience, he just wanted an easy access to uke, who was running around all the time. He literally told him "i bought you with cold, hard cash". He will never see Kim Dan as a human, for Jaekhung uke is a bum and a whore like everyone else before him (remember he gave tons of money to his prev sex pertner after smashing him in a wall). He's not being "jealous" of Heeseong(or whatever his name) either, delulus, no jealous person would expose their partner like that, your first instinct would be to not even show an inch of their skin to the rival. What Jaekhung did is to simply show that he's the owner and Kim Dan, in fact, is his possession (can't say no, owns seme huge amount).
I just wish for Kim Dan to somehow find money and pay his debt to seme. Or for Jaekhung to finally get bored of uke, who stops curing his jinx, and letting him go so seme can get a new "whore" and continue his trashy life far from uke.

I read the novel and the relationship is extremely toxic, manipulatibe, abusive etc. Both are sick in the head. I find Uke annoying (a lot) and seme def needs to be isolated from society. It is going to get very dark so buckle up. As for me, I'm dropping this because there is no way to repair this whole mess of a story to something positive and happy. I'm still depressed from reading the novel, chile...
