Yeah, I’ve never seen a weirder comment section. When people aren’t mad about this not being gl, they’re hating on either the crown prince or the emperor by exaggerating the whole thing. It’s so perplexing.

Yeah, I swear I was expecting every male character in this story to be complete trash just because I read the comments before I really dove into the story. Finding the opposite was actually a pleasant surprise

I said “I feel like” and acc to plot, after the 1st empress died, he immediately take another empress despite the begging of his sister. He knew both his sis and his son still can’t get over her death and dude is like “ nuh I need to marry my lover” And dude is casually celebrating on his 1st wife death anniversary. And when his sis started bullying his 2nd wife to the point she got psychological trauma and strokes? Dude did nothing. His actions literally said “ I love you but solve it yourself lol” And i shouldn’t justify his sis (villain)’s bullying and actions but she rly need to stop hating on the 2nd wife and hate on the emperor bc dude is the traitor here. And if you guys think that kind of guy isn’t trashy? Check your eyesight duh ╮(￣▽￣)╭

You’re wrong on all accounts. I read this entire thing just yesterday so I’m pretty clear on that:

1. The first empress died 16 years ago, when the crown prince was 6 years old. The emperor met, fell in love and married the current 2nd empress 10 years ago. So no, he didn’t marry her right after his first wife died. At no point did his son beg him not to marry the current empress either.

2. He’s said to be an emperor celebrated like a god-emperor because he has powers… all he can do is move the date of celebration, which he did. So instead of celebrating his birthday three days before and after his actual birthday, they do it six days before in order to respect the fact that the first empress died the day after his birthday.

3. Second empress didn’t have strokes but definitely suffered bullying to the point where she shut herself in. He should’ve known that seeing her as often as possible wasn’t helpful and that sending his sister away for two years wasn’t a long-term solution either. He was negligent in looking after the woman he loves, but that doesn’t make him trash.

Of course they were negligent to the empress, but they only did what they THOUGHT was best even though that wasn’t the case. But at least the ML realized his mistakes and actuallyyy took active steps to help his step mother.

1. Even if it’s a long time after the 1st empress died, you can still see both his sis and the crown prince still can’t get over her death. Especially during her death anni episode, you can see ML remembering the past after he came back from meeting his aunt. So it doesn’t justify the emperor’s actions at all. Bro legit ignored both his son and his sis’s problems like it not his too LMAOO.

2. 2nd empress DID have strokes ?
SHE LITERALLY FAINTED AFTER SEEING the aunt OK? maybe you missed the entire plot go read it again lol.

dude solved the bullying problem by sending the aunt away like it’s not his problem too lol he only thought of a one-time solution. Remember all things happen just bc of his one love affair? If he just talk it out with his sis abt his 1st wife’s death or if he just talk it out meeting his sis and the 2nd empress face to face, things like FL being bullied by her friends,being attacked on broad day light or the empress being bullied wouldn’t have happened. Maids, peasants, many ppl are involved just bc dude didn’t talk it out lolol.IF HE IS POWERFUL THE GOD-EMPEROR like you said, his judgment shouldn’t be like that.

4. This is all your double standards. If the FL is the 1st empress instead, you guys would trash him in the comments for being a trashy husband and dad.And you guys would trash the 2nd empress too for being home-wrecker. His son can be sad about his mother dying and be okay with his father remarrying—which he is. I don’t understand why you’re forcing a narrative that doesn’t exist.
