Strange, this is the first story of this genre where I actually would have preferred it ending just like that rather than bringing them back together. Bittersweet growth and her healing. More realistic that way but alas this is a romance webtoon lol

I can see why ppl were disappointed—it wasn’t a bad ending, but I thought there was a lot more the author could have worked with to continue the story. Lot of potential sad to see it end. In a way it compounds the unsettling feelings u have w inseop. I don’t want to see anyone die like that, and he didn’t deserve to live freely, he deserved to be in jail though he likely would have continued killing just by having contact w others who are psychologically vulnerable
Wow all girl wanted was a father who looked at her, a brother who didn’t beat her, and the freedom to reciprocate the feelings of the first guy who was nice to her. All she really wanted in life was to be respected and loved. She’d clearly would have cherished that life even if it could only exist in the slums, with empty bellies and exhaustion. She would have made it work bc all girl has been trying to build this whole time is a normal family. Yeah she was naive, but she was never weak. yet no one seems to actually cherish her strength. They’re in awe of it, entertained by it, but they eventually fear it and entrap it until it’s snuffed out don’t let the bastards grind you down girl. I hope one day she has that small plot of land with the humble little house where no one knows her and she can be free and live in peace ╥﹏╥

Ngl i like her better w sunbae. Honestly he’s had more character development from his earlier f*ckboi days than Mincheol. I know she’s unlikely to end up w him, but i’d really like an arc where she dates someone else (like sunbae) and learns what it feels like to date someone who isn’t afraid to like her back; someone who can have a mature ‘normal’ romantic relationship so she has some knowledge/experience and higher standards before entertaining anything w mincheol again. If she doesn’t get this, i’d think the author lazy tbh
