What do you mean she promised to agree with her brother's edict of releasing her mother!? He knows the empress was mean af and was the cause of her death in her first life, so why would he let her roam free???
She has no connections anymore. By herself, she's powerless. And when he's emperor, he'll have much more influence and controll over who she's talking to and communicating with. She'll just be his pitiful mother at that point. I doubt she'd want to do much anyway. Maybe even just be sent to a house where she can't meet anyone, but is on a beach or something.
Also, people are capable of changing and regretting their actions. Her entire goal was to make him emperor, and I think to absorb her homeland to be the ruler there as well. As long as that happens, I don't think she'll really care.
Overall, its definitely the mature thing to do on both of their parts. Even just the sentiment that she won't hate him if he does release her means a lot. Nobody WANTS to hate their parents.
Wtf I didn't recall the manga being this fucked up. You mean Max is selling Sugiki like it's doll and no one is mentioning it? Like how tf is that normal.
Norman and Suzuki are bit weird, especially Norman since he's really fucked up (liking his sister and even making a kid watch them having sex).
How in the world was this manga so messed up? I thought this manga was so different. I guess is true what they say there's a version of a story and the version of the story you remember reading.
This is by far the worst sequel to a great story. They had us for two seasons with an awful attitude from a lovesick obsessed dude who cannot handle rejection. We had at least 10 episodes of his backstory for nothing tbh.
It wasn't ALL for NOTHING, honestly Dayeon have a great impact on Dan regardless of his past being obnoxiously stupid/obsessive. And having their closure for this, I think it was worth the 10 episodes in order for them to understand each other's feelings/perspective. PLUS, readers are able to understand how Dayeon actually serves a major purpose on Dan's overall growth as a company holder and having them discuss it maturely this time is a win for both parties. Though, I do hope that the author won't bother bringing up the fact that Dayeon liked Dan again because they already sealed it with Dan saying “no” to him as a final rejection so yeah, I guess for me at least those 10 episodes for a backstory for him wasn't all for nothing.

Ahhhh beautiful art, beautiful relationship
