Okay… I genuinely don’t know what to think. I only started reading this because I enjoy books with poly relationships and sharing dynamics, but this completely crossed the line for me.
What they did wasn’t romantic, misunderstood, or morally gray it was disgusting. They intentionally got him drunk so they could take advantage of him without his consent, and they didn’t do it just once they did it multiple times.Then proceed to lie to him afterward and acted like they were perfect people. They manipulated him into questioning his own memory and made him believe he actually wanted what happened. That isn’t love; it’s assault and emotional manipulation.
I already have a feeling the author is going to make him forgive them, and honestly, I hate that. Some things shouldn’t be brushed aside with a quick apology or a few chapters of groveling. I did like that he left as soon as he remembered everything instead of spending forever crying and second-guessing himself, but I wish he would disappear from their lives for years, not just a few days. They deserve to actually face the consequences of what they did instead of getting forgiven so easily.
Overall, this left a really bad taste in my mouth. I came here expecting a romance, not a story where sexual assault is glossed over. I honestly found it disturbing and disgusting.
