I'm not trying to hate on Taku / this is not a hate post (⊙…⊙ )
I just don't want anyone to hate on Haesoo because of what happened between him and Taku. It's not his fault.
I get that Taku liked Haesoo (and that his actions can be seen as understandable) but I feel that he pushed Haesoo into their relationship. In this chapter, there was a flashback between the two and it shows how Taku asked Haesoo to try being in a relationship with him. Haesoo didn't actually reply with a 'yes' immediately. Instead, he tells Taku that he is a bit broken and might need to spend some time alone (to heal and reflect). After that, Taku still tries to pursue him (and sleep with him). ALSO, you can't blame Haesoo for agreeing to get into a relationship with Taku (/can't say that he led him on). Taku literally said that Haesoo could even pretend to love him. Taku basically told Haesoo to do to him what he had done his past partners. When the story focuses on Taku's past relationships, it shows how he doesn't actually love his past partners and just does whatever to please them. His past partner, the one who leaked the sex tape, had told Taku to kiss him and 'make him feel better'. Taku did this to make him feel better, not because he actually wanted to or liked him. His past partner also said that being with him feels lonely. Taku pretended to love in his past relationships... and, I think Taku learned from his relationship with Haesoo. He learned that this pretend love isn't enough / isn't right (because he was finally on the receiving end this time).

"None of them actually learned anything". Sounds super wrong to me. I dont know if there's any point at all in writing to you when I've seen you be pretty rude in the comments. But this is my one and *only* attempt (feel free to not read it if you dont want to):

Haesoo's biggest obstacle was having no voice for himself. He was always caught up in what his mother wanted, what would be best for joowon's acting career, what was best for society, etc... He never prioritized his own wishes and was miserable. In the end he chose things for himself and told Joowon how he truly felt. He also realized he was wrong for wanting Joowon to suffer for his sake, and that he did not truly mean his vindictive thoughts, because when Joowon actually got hurt it broke him. Also, Haesoo & Taku's relationship: Haesoo never really cared for his past flings, but he genuinely felt sorry to Taku. He actually put effort in their r/s and felt apologetic when he couldnt return Taku's feelings: also signifying haesoo growing and learning.

Meanwhile Joowon feared abandonment as he believed haesoo already abandoned him once after the divorce. He actually did things with good intentions as a teenager thinking keeping their relationship was undefined would protect what they had, and this carried onto adulthood due to their taboo forever haunting them. He realized his faults in how he hurt haesoo, and knew he was arrogant in thinking haesoo would never leave him. So Joowon strived to take responsibility for his actions, AND he faced his own fears realizing: he'd rather get hurt and abandoned by Haesoo than not tell Haesoo he loved him.
Joohae both faced multiple external pressures that affected their actions (their initial taboo, their parents, jw's very public career). So I personally dont think they *deserved* the pain they got, but hey its your opinion. Maybe they did deserve it to a certain extent, but I don't blame them.

Meanwhile Taku: he had a long history of exes that he toyed around with and manipulated for his photography career. He started seeing Haesoo with the exact same intentions ("i just wanted to see the story he would write when I was gone" // Leo telling Joowon how Taku uses and drops his models). Him getting hurt like this, when he never planned to catch feelings in the first place was the best lesson for him. He now knows that you can't manipulate a person's emotions, and MAKE THEM love you no matter how much you try (taku's quote: "I wanted to burrow inside that void he (jw) left in you. And then I would kick him out in any way I could" --> he realized he couldnt). He had the least development on screen and Joowon had the most, but it didnt mean he walked away with nothing.

exactly!! I love this! I have been wanting to write a comment (pretty much) just like this for a while but was too lazy. Thank you for putting this out there bc I feel like a lot of people didn't like how the story was going, so they glazed over all of the dialogue (/missed all the important stuff). Also, some people just didn't get the story.
This might be unrelated to your comment -
It makes me sad when people say they hate this story (mainly bc Haesoo didn't choose Taku) bc I thought that the writing was phenomenal. It was so realistic and the way that the author worded and presented the story made my heart swell :)) I think that a lot of people overlooked the writing and were focused more on the drama aspect.
    Overall, I loved your comment!

    Thank you!
And yeah I know what you mean~
Honestly the author clearly worked really hard on LOH. The fact that they managed to make such layered and driven characters that have viewers constantly arguing and discussing is impressive in and of itself! I think the ppl who shit on this story just cause their fav isn't endgame are honestly silly. If my fav wasn't endgame YES i would probably be upset, but I would still be able to appreciate and writing and art for what it is after 97 whole chapters
