I think it's natural; the novel explains and narrates it better, and this whole arc spans around 70 chapters of the novel. And since there are around 140+ chapters, it feels rushed. I think very few works can match the quality of the novels they're based on.

Basically what happens is that ML killed his father and brother and also the fiancée, the mother is still alive and FL moved out of the house ML got for her cause she thinks that ML lives happily with the fiancée since he never responded to her letters and she sees him after 3 years outside of where she works, it’s pretty awkward and all, later during the day FL offers some ice cream to ML and congratulates him on his engagement, ML gets kinda mad/ frustrated and he leaves her but he makes her come back in the country where he is through a job offer.

ML wants her to move in with him but she doesn’t want to, she goes to his house to talk and stuff and they end up kissing and dry humping and when FL goes back to her hotel room there is a robbery (planned by the mother of ML). FL ends up admitting her feelings at some point and they kinda fuck a lot after that. In the meantime she found back her letters and she gives it to him sooooo much later like the FL was so insecure about it and ML thought that FL didn’t think about him at all during the 3 years they were apart but everything gets resolved and they fuck again lol

then the mother comes back and ML was planning to kill her but the mom said to FL what ML did to his family but FL isn’t bothered at all by this and she even threatens to kill the mother herself lol and then the ML proposes and they get engaged (she gets pregnant in the side stories)

Sorry for the late reply, kinda forgot cause i read it a long time ago so it might nit be accurate for some part but basically after that it’s exam season and FL has to do a debate against ML’s fiancée and she kinda wins cause the girls loses control. Right after she is done she sees the ML fighting with one of their study partners (the one woth read hair) cause he was talking bullshit about FL. Then comes the exams results, FL is first place and ML is no where to be seen cause he is locked up by his family and fiancée but at the same time two dudes come to FL and tell her that she has a lot of debt to pay bc of her father and i think he sold her off or something. ML comes and save her and he brings her to the train station to send her off and they have a passionate kiss and get separated for a few years i think 3 years.

We get ML povs righ After that and he is been obsessed with FL since freshman year so four in total before they started talking, he did so much for her behind the doors to save her from her family and if i remember correctly he was a virgin or close, like he does not sleep around they were all rumors spread by fiancée

FL writes letters to ML and also to her bestfriend but none of them received it cause ML’s mother intercepted them also FL saw that ML got engaged so she thinks he doesn’t like her anymore. In the meantime Ml killed everyone in his and her family and the fiancée too, he is obsessed with FL and does everything for her. They meet again and at first it’s awkward there is miscommunication but later on FL admits her feelings and after that it’s a fuck fest lol they fuck A LOT, FL learns that Ml killed his family members but does not care they get engaged and in the side stories she gets pregnant.

There is so much stuff that i forgot but the novel is really well written and the yearning is insane I think ML has first place in this department

I just wanna ask, what happened to her bestfriend? :<

FL sent her letters and she never received them so her best friend thinks that she forgot about her, they met by chance outside her job and FL wanted to talk with her but the best friend walked away later on they talked for a bit cause Fl went to her home but bestfriend is so mad at her FL cries then she brings the letters to her and they make up. She is engaged/ married and she gets pregnant too (i think she had a miscarriage before )
