ML is a calculating psychopath and FL is smart and composed. The balance between these two is just chefs kiss. It’s not a happy one so beware, but the plot, drama, and sexual tension is just to die for. Their story is honestly so different from other toxic “romances” because I think the FL very self aware and she’s able to stand her ground. The characters (imo) have fleshed our personalities to where everything they do makes sense and ‘is in character’ for them. Character developments (both good and bad) are neatly woven into the story and the characters don’t do 180s. There’s no petty or miscommunication plots like other toxic romances, which the author deserves praise for!! Overall I think it’s a really well written piece of work, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
