Can I have spoilers?? Σ( ￣□￣||)

YES!! I LOVE GIVING SPOILERS FOR THIS STORY!!! up till how far are you willing to be spoiled ლ(´ڡ`ლ) wanna know about the great dungeon?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SPOIL ME IM WILLING TO BE SPOILED ABOUT EVERYTHING

YAYAYAY!!! TY FOR LETTING ME SPOIL!! OK SOOO basically the hunter organization and all the higher ups had already been planning for the reopening of the great dungeon (which jihan(ml) briefly mentioned i believe) where they talked about the insanely highly destructive bomb that they were gonna deploy at the end of the great dungeon when they go into the black portal to essentially “break” the gaia system and its walls (hence why they said it was gonna be a “retaliation against the gaia system”) but because this bomb is sosososo dangerous, the person deploying it obviously needs a really powerful shield to not die when the bomb does explode, and that was something ONLY Seo’s (mc’s) shield and power could withstand, so they were gonna make Jihan and Seo enter the black portal together. BUT Seo’s mana level is a key part because the higher his mana level, the higher the chance of their survival because of a more powerful shield. So they calculated that Seo’s mana level had to be at around a specific point to have a very good chance of both him and Jihan being unharmed by the bomb, and since Seo has healing resistance, it was now even more crucial for Seo to reserve as much mana as possible throughout the great dungeon. But some those pesky religious cultists find a way to sneak into the dungeon and they cause a mess to which Seo ends up using some more mana than what was originally planned (also becaude at the end the big dragon they fight, Seo gets emotional and uses up even more mana to defeat it)… So by the end when they clear the great dungeon and let everybody out, Jihan and Seo stand in front of the black portal and Seo sees that his mana has now fallen below the level that guaranteed both of their safety. Jihan, getting a wisp of what’s going on and what Seo is thinking, tries to reassure that Seo’s mana levels were fine and that if anything happens he would be alright. But right now, it showed Seo that they had around a 45-50% chance of him and Jihan making it out alive and you already know how protective Seo is especially of other hunters and not allowing any hunters to die in his sight. So, Seo says he absolutely cannot risk the death of Jihan and that he would go into the black portal alone…Jihan tries many times to reassure Seo that it’d be fine, but Seo already completely made up his mind about Jihan not going into the black portal. Jihan doesnt stop pleading his hyung to go in together, but Seo will not budge at all and Seo pulls out riceball and prepares for a fight… Seo smiles at Jihan bittersweetly and says that Jihan will now be getting the fight that he was itching for and that the fight would determine who would be going into the black portal. This is the fighting scene that was shown in Jihan’s dream btw! Seo starts fighting with incredible speed and precision, but Jihan absolutely cannot muster up the courage to attack back to his beloved hyung, especially since he has healing resistance. So, Seo manages to swiftly push Jihan into the vicinity of the exit portal for the great dungeon and Jihan starts to feel the portal swoop him in, trying to drag him out and into the outside world. At this point Jihan is sobbing, yelling, begging, and PLEADING for Seo not to go alone and not to do this. It was such a heart wrenching scene… And so, they showed the detail that i loved in the novel here in the manhwa regarding Jihan’s fingernails! Jihan is so incredibly desperate using every ounce of his strength to dig his nails into the dirt and try to go against the pulling power of the exit… his nails become nonexistent, drenched in blood and through teary eyes he sees Seo’s sad last smile as Seo utters the words “Goodbye… Jihan.” and Jihan gets sucked into the black atmosphere into the exit portal which was the other scene in his dream! Anyways, that’s the spoiler for the great dungeon buuuut don’t worry, there is another huge major spoiler i wont get into rn bc this has gotten so long lol that allows Jihan to actually go back and enter the black portal to chase after Seo. Some sad but also suuuch sweet things happen in the black portal and that’s where the main story ends! But don’t be tricked, the side stories are SO scrumptious and just as important as the main story i would say and that’s where we truly get to see them flourish. Anyways i also wanted to include that because of that heartbreaking scene in the great dungeon, Jihan develops ptsd and insane trauma which causes him to go into panic mode every time he hears the word “Goodbye” from Seo even once they get out
╥﹏╥ There’s a scene in the side story where Jihan constantly has to take sedatives every time he hears Seo say that word… But fear not, it such an amazing story and they get to be so happy together!!! lmk if you have any other questions or spoilers u wanna know abt this story!!! I absolutely LOVE and adore talking about it!!

I wonder how long the angst is gonna last ╥﹏╥ I want them to be safe and together alreadyyy

yeaaa this is quite slow burn so i would say it truly becomes fluff right at the end or side stories lol
