I think a few chapters ago I saw a lot of comments saying they dislike her dress, tbh I can see that her dress feels rlly different from the era's fashion styles and the dresses worn by ppl around her, but I rlly like it. It's a cool dress design that I haven't seen before honestly, like a shawl that is clasped at the front down where the mermaid tail part begins? It's unique, idk, I like it. Her crown flower decor also has strings that drape down, which I find rlly satisfying. ALSO THE CHARACTER DESIGNS OF THE PPL IN THE BALL?? MWA H, so beautiful, perfection ugGH
It's pretty neat how the book actually went into some extreme niche fetish stuff that you typically don't see in comics/mangas. Though I'm not interested in some, it's neat to see how extreme things can go, and where they'll land
I remember another story of SM from the perspective of the ml (he's the master and the story is a shounen) that showed some roleplay and more leather and ropes. It was quite interesting though, in the end it was another love story but with this roleplay in the middle.
I must say that these are more extreme than the ones I saw. Still I know there are some people in the world who would love to do that.
Not my cup of tea really. Though quite didactic for those who want to go further.
Sociopaths are raised into a lack of empathy. (also psychopaths and sociopaths can still feel sympathy and possible moments of empathy through intentional thinking, it just isn't a natural response)- so it makes sense why she isnt matching the stereotypical tv show definition of a psychopath. (explaining it in an irl sense, I know it doesn't matter since the author prob didn't think of this anyways)
To people who disliked my comment, although I know I’m not a professional at sociopathy and psychopathy- but I AM a psychology major with an interest in mental disorders. So though my words may not be completely up to date, they are still backed by the things I’ve learned from studies I’ve read in my psych classes and experiences and interviews of others that I’ve read and watched about. I’m just offering the knowledge I know of this topic that others may not have as much of an idea on
They make the female lead out to be someone to feel pity for. In the first two chapters they've made me hate her so much. A servant came to check up on her, and she starts asking where's the man she sleeps with is, and after the servant gives an answer she starts going ballistic on the servant- grabbing her hair and stuff, and apparently she's been a constant abuser since the servant thinks to themselves "good thing she doesn't have anything around her to throw at me with". And though the servant doesn't have good intentions for the female lead, the female lead is such an asshole?? She makes herself out to be all pitiful and just wants the love of the male lead but then she starts physically grabbing at the servants? like? just because they won't tell her where the hot guy she fucks every night is TTOTT) ???
Yeah you definitely need to keep reading. She isn’t innocent but she definitely is pitiful. She’ll suffer in the present, future, and if you look at the past her own parents didn’t give af about her. She was a lonely child and ML was the one that came into her life, to the point she became dependent on him. There’s an age gap between FL and ML so they met when she was a child and he was like a teen. The servants also don’t treat her well either.

This was one of my favorite comics when I first started reading. The tension was well done, and I liked how it would get you curious about the male lead as the story continued due to the way they set it up. ML is a green flag which is great, and his story with her is quite wholesome. Things started going downhill when it went from "revenge/protect my family arc" into "become an idol." It wasn't a bad read from then on per say, but it felt like it was going from "she can stand up for herself with her smarts" into "she can stand up for herself because she can sing songs in a unique way- also she's like a celebrity now by the way." Idk, but it went bland and slightly.. off? like we're in a sort of victorian/rococo setting and she's suddenly a k pop idol with fans, billboards, and shooting idol magazines (it didn't go too extreme with that but.. it certainly felt weird with the setting and original plot = keeping my family safe/revenge). Either way, I stayed for the couple since the romantic tension was still done in a way I liked and overall still enjoyed the story albeit the decision making of the author confused me. So... like a 6.9/10 overall. A story that if you read, you'd still find ways to enjoy it, but it's not gunna be like an absolute favorite or anything
I havent read this in years, she tries to become a singer/pop idol? LMAO wtf, no wonder theres over 200 freaking chapters of this.
LOL yeahhh, a lot of idol drama and figuring out idol stuff + doing battle of the bands but with the church ┗( T﹏T )┛ It just had a rlly good revenge set up and tension build up with the ML, I was so excited and then she became a k pop idol, and the church became a corrupt k pop idol company and the vibe of the story just did a 180. LOL, still readable and semi enjoyable but euyyieah
