listen I love the art but why do the scenes that are important to the story-telling and the character development feel like cut scenes??? I'm not expecting them to illustrate word-to-word but the way the story is flowing right now is... a choice.
like I appreciate the side/supporting characters but it makes no sense that at times we see more of the side characters and their dialogue than that of the main characters for a few of these chapters thus far?? like some of their scenes should be treated as cut scenes instead
This was a surprisingly cute and really good read. I know many might find Gunjoon annoying but I actually like that he was always straightforward with his wants and was honest about it. Yeah there was some lack of communication but nothing too messy. Them both basically going outside of their comfort zones when it comes to being together and then finding comfort by being together... they just made it work.
My issue with the story lies in the lack of tying things together with what looks like the author setting up spinoffs/sidestories? Like that one panel with the red head neighbor?? I kept thinking we were about to get a love triangle eventually because that was such a random zoom-in of a character we never even see again (but apparently its a cameo). Then there's also the guy Gunjoon went on that blind date with that seems to have his own love interest (the guy waiting for him in the car). That had me so intrigued. And ofc Doyoon and San sunbae. where's their sidestories?? I checked the authors twitter but there's no news about that at all.
I dropped this after THAT chapter and I'm only commenting now because I'm still so mad about it because this series had sooo much damn potential just to blow up on itself thanks to the authors weird ass decisions.
The way it seems everyone dropped it too?? I no longer see discussion posts about it when I would see excited tweets about this every week. I kept up with updates and discussions of this series on X and everytime the author posted its weekly release post tweets about it would get hundreds and even thousands of likes. So it's crazy how if you look up the hashtag for it now the author gets maybe 20 likes when they post it and no one beside maybe 2 people talk about it now.
An insane way to kill your first ever series and the fans that were supportive af in the beginning. It truly needs to be studied.
I couldn't take "that" development... It was just too cruel to the Main Lead character. I have been coming back here every upload to read other people's comments to see if there has been any changes that will make me read the new updates becasue I seriously loved this manga and would have loved to see their kids... Loved the dynamic between the ML and the MC.
I am so sad.. not even mad at this point, just sad. I will continue to follow this manga to see if any updates have redeemed the MC(dont care about the side dude at all) but I don't think I can read it again after that unnecessary development...
Wow, really?? Good for him!! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Honestly, all of this could’ve been avoided if the author had handled the MC’s reaction better. He should’ve been genuinely angry and disgusted after being raped, not getting mad at the ML who was angry on his behalf. If that response had been written even slightly differently, maybe the fans wouldn’t be this disappointed.
But yeah, the author decided to make the MC unbelievably stupid and ended up ruining their own story. Even in the latest chapters, there’s still no sign that he’s disgusted or traumatized by what happened. It’s as if the rape was treated as nothing more than a one-night stand.
I really hate that the latest side story ended with the guy actually being a scammer, because I thought Hosik would finally stand his ground and not let Sungyheon have his way AGAIN. I got whiplash from the last side story because idk I'm always on the fence with Sunghyeon, there's being concerned and protective and then there's being obsessed and manipulative af and unfortunately he tends to be on the far end of that scale. So I thought 'how nice that they gave Hosik some growth and let him tell his friends/acquaintances about his family and kids on his own terms' and I thought Sunghyeon was cute with his reaction then and would finally chill. But then this sidestory happened...
Idk Hosik's life seems so depressing to me, he has his beautiful kids of course, but a few sidestories back he was talking about not even having a job and possibly looking into that but it doesn't seem like that's going anywhere. He's basically a KEPT stay at home mom, not just a stay at home mom but a KEPT one because Sunghyeon won't even let him go outside and meet with ANYONE unless he's there or stalking him. It's still insane to me Sunghyeon only came around with Jiwoon because Jiwoon got married so he didn't seem like a threat anymore to his insane mind. And mind you, they have two nannies at home too and are rich af. So why can't Hosik go off and do his own thing? Especially with the kids being older/in school now. Like it's just weird and depressing to think Hosik just has his husband and kids and the one best friend his husband allows him to have after all these years.
At this point I keep reading the sidestories hoping something wakes up inside of Hosik where he puts his needs and wants first because there has to be some payoff after all this time...

man I was so excited for season 3 because I just wanted to see more of them and their babies so this fuck ass amnesia arc can fuck right off. wdym they're both even more toxic to each other than they were in the beginning?
I need him to grovel on his knees and beg for forgiveness. he ain't even care about his kids like damn son
the way i used to rec left and right when people wanted an omegaverse with an accident baby kept secret with a chasing arc and like i just dropped the moment amnesia was hinted dnsjsjsjdjdj I’ll be back when they resolve it but seriously???? SERIOUSLY???? sighs
Forgetting about his kids, sure that's what amnesia can be. But making them live in an entirely separate home is fucked forreal. He might not remember them but choosing to ignore their existence and forcing his spouse to do the same thing is beyond horrible. The author went about this in an awful way.
