dongbaek already makes the main message of the manhwa pretty clear at the end, but i wanted to add my piece.
i think there can be a lot of things that can be taken away from this:
greed (as the title suggests), taking too much of something or taking something that is not yours (ie. ipari having an affair with dongbaek even though he’s with the boss, while ipari is fully aware of that fact).
envy, as ipari is jealous of the relationship between the boss and dongbaek and how dongbaek looks at the boss and not him—wondering why dongbaek’s with the boss and not him.
lust, giving into your desires (ie. ipari sneaking peeks at dongbaek in the night, ipari being tempted by dongbaek appearing before his door that night, ipari ignoring dongbaek’s last warning to escape and taking him there too).
this one’s a stretch, but pride, as ipari believed he was better than the men around him, including the boss, since he was the one who spent time with dongbaek at night.
and i believe there is some religious symbolism(?) relating to the seven deadly sins, adam & eve, and the mention of god and heaven. but i wouldn’t know bc im not really religious.
i also thought it was interesting that ipari thought that he was special or different from the other men that have approached dongbaek since he truly thought he “loved” him. but as dongbaek mentioned, ipari is no different from these other men, only chasing after him for his body (this is evident as all of his encounters and conversations with dongbaek are solely sexual), which i thought was pretty ironic.
