The first like 90 chapters were really great but it just started taking a turn for the worse...I honestly thought there would be some sort of development and positive turnover but there wasn't. I wish the ending was spoiled for before I read till the very end hoping for change cause I wouldn't have had to finish it. Im so upset it broke my heart.
I loved all the characters but now I just don't like anyone
Guys, you also have to remember it’s not only Maya’s development as a character but the mangaka as well. She most likely realized her original plot was quite toxic. This series started several years ago back when “rape” or similar things were very common in BL manga. Since the mangaka grew as a person and honestly would change the way it originally started and I truly believe that it’s ok to forgive Maya as well. You can tell by how much love, emotion, communication and healthy relationships are present now in the story.
In real life Maya could never and should never actually be forgiven for the shit he pulled in the first 2 volumes but this is fiction and as you said the author grew as a person making this story redeemable. I love this story just not the 1st 2 volumes they don't exist in my mind lol. So I like 98% agree with you lol I don't think it's okay to forgive Maya personally but I can forgive the author y'know what I mean?
