I don't think I've ever been so thankful that this didn't go the disappearance/time-skip arc route
Maybe, I don't remember. I'm mostly just thinking that if Kijung disappeared after getting his eye cut (either by his own volition or not) it would've been a bit disappointing to see a "3 years later..." right then. Probably could've worded it a bit better, since it will eventually go that way. I'd like to get a bit more resolution before we get into that arc though.
Chapter 20 - running theory...
.... is that it's a multiple regression story. Seongjae was so regretful in the first life, probably said some shit like "If only I had met you first" or "I wish we had met at a different time" and then got his second chance. Seongjae 2.0 kept his memories but Seungwon 2.0 didn't. Either Seungwon 2.0 messed up, or he died too early, or Seongjae 2.0 left him because he thought that was best, Seungwon 2.0's wish was probably to have another chance with Seongjae 2.0. Leading to Seungwon 3.0 who has kept all his memories, but Seongjae 3.0 hasn't. Seongjae 3.0 probably has residual feelings from the previous life, but no context for them so that's why he's so drawn to Seongwon 3.0
That is all for now. I refuse to read the comment section because this is the first time I haven't been spoiled and am actually intrigued.

looks like we've got another boy-failure, everyone. let's grab the confetti
Also that friend totally knows about his crush and is just being an ass because he likes Seon-woo's reaction/him and is waiting for him to say something. I can't prove it, but I know it in my heart.
