This will be easier to read if you separate the characters like so: snake MC(long neck spooky man), twink MC(dude with the bookmark that looks like he's withering away.), normal MC(the dude we following in the story), Snake ML(he's the ML when bro has yellow eyes I think.), past ML(he's not really a third person like how MC has the twink. This one is sorta fused with the snake in the beginning), and finally normal ML(you can tell it's him cause he's as confused as normal MC, but later I think he connects with his past self and is less confused to wtf is going on.)

From my understanding, MC in the past died from neglect or whatever, doesn’t matter. ML in the past refused to let him go so he tried to bring him back to life. That split MCs soul up.

There's also this snake monster thing that is also involved(snake monsterS cause ML has one too)? To explain the snake, I think the snake monster brought ML back to life cause they story mentioned how he disappeared and then came back different. So I think the ML in the past tried to do the same with MC but it didn't work out like he wanted....

So currently there's snake MC, MC that was forced into the twink guy(this MC is most likely the past MC considering how needy he is), and then the real MC we've been following the whole story(he is the real reincarnation). Snake MC has been making it so twink MC gets to be with the reincarnated ML. Normal MC gets involved cause of what happened in the first chapter. Snake ML realized normal MC is the real reincarnation before normal ML, and tries to get with him(but this also affects normal ML cause the two are connected). Snake MC is pissed cause he thinks the twink is the real MC so that's why he gave the twink the memories of their past or something like that (basically that bookmark the twink had held all the memories/part of the soul from the past and is the reason he thinks he's the real reincarnated MC). Snake MC also forces normal ML to fall for the twink through ghostly powers. But since snake ML only wants normal MC, snake MC is trying to get rid of normal MC. But, through a bit of drama, snake MC realized too that normal MC is the true reincarnation. So now, snake MC is trying to get normal ML to fall for normal MC(screw the twink I guess. That poor dude has his mind all fucked up cause of this). I think what's happening in the most recent chapter is that normal ML is finally connected with his past self, making him self aware. Snake ML and normal ML are finding out that they both exist as separate entities and that they are jealous of eachother(I think this is due to snake ML being properly fused with past ML so hes confused as to why normal ML exists in the first place, but that's reincarnationfor ya, I guess)? They are fighting over who gets normal MC(snake MC is probably gooning to the whole situation and twink MC is dying on the inside). Idk I hope that made sense, and I hope it's mostly correct. Literally everyone here is confused. The author is trying to be big brained, but by keeping everything so secretive, they made the entire story confusing af.

TLDR: snake MC and snake ML can't let go of the past so they force their reincarnations to be together cause fuck free will.

Also I realized now that I said the people we're seeing right now is normal ML and snake ML. I was wrong. It's actually snake ML and PAST ML. I guess with all the drama and confliction between snake ML and normal ML, it made past ML a tangible being that is just self aware now. Snake ML doesn't realize who he is at first(cause they were fused the whole time, aka the reason snake ML usually appears with long hair). And that's also why they are able to disappear at the end and leave normal MC with his ass up

That's a lot...and a lot of information make me confused more especially when there's a lot of MC's (• ▽ •;)

I labeled the twink as twink MC even though he's technically NOT the MC. He just has a piece of MC's soul shoved inside if him cause of the snake MC using the bookmark thing. The twink is just some random guy that happened to look like the past MC.
