The author played this well imo. Subaru doesn't know that Natsuzawa has feelings for her so she's not biased in her decision, it's not "oh he likes me and I want to be included in the girls love talk so I'll date him. I feel at ease with him anyway".
Plus she actually decided to take more time to think about her feelings, that's something you never see in manga. They all just jump at the chance to date but this really fut her personality
