Youre right, its this story. But that scene was from a few chapters ago, not a side story. That happened during their school trip to Seoul where MC meets Unnie for the first time.

I gotta say I think the trauma is either that useless ass of a college student or the robbers that were braking into houses, it's definitely a situation where Seung-hyeon had to hide Chaejun in a closet to lure danger away from him, but it might also be in Seung-hyeon case that it's not necessarily trauma but that growing up in that fucked up family simply made him forget it even happened after all those years
Going about the positive side after he finishes remembering all that happened Seung-hyeon will get him out of there and everyone will finally know that they are meant for each other ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
I do think his appendix will burst since the stomach ache mixed with his shitty diet and the enormous amount of stress he is in right now aren't a good sign at all, I do hope it's not super life threatening cause I love Garam too much but for God sake if it means this two idiots will finally talk for real I'm all in
