I’m starting to think every chapter is released for April fools and we’re all April.

I might as well change my name legally cause I’m gonna keep showing up here weekly, like clockwork. Lmao

For the first thirty chapters, I was sure I disliked this story. I was ready to quit.

Owen was set up to be this boss bitch omega and Nick was a mysterious and powerful stranger. Their meet was great, but then Nick is suddenly living in Rose Manor and you realize that Owen has the personality of a straw wrapper and Nick (suddenly a house husband) is weirdly overstepping/overbearing.

Then, one night (right after they’d just met) Nick pushes Owen down over some obviously unwanted pheromones that had stressed him out and acted BADLY. Like red flag, get out my house, badly. (I will say I understand why the author chose for Nick to take that action, but it felt so gross)

I can honestly say for the first half of the story, I was mostly invested in Locke as a character and only because I wanted to see him be eaten alive by rats. (He got off too easy. I hated him, truly.)

But then things kind of fall in place? It’s weird, I went from “UGH” to “ACTUALLY…”

My only beef by the time I finished it, is that Nick didn’t tell Owen very explicitly how fucking cool he is for having a built in security system that rejects alpha pheromones if he doesn’t want them!!! THAT’S SO BADASS?!?!?

Everyone around Owen but especially Nick (cause he experienced it first hand) should have been in awe. Owen is an omega that doesn’t need an Alpha to protect him. He’s strong all on his own. He doesn’t have to be coerced or intimidated. Omegas everywhere would love to have that ability. And instead of safe, Owen grew up feeling like a monster.

When Owen FINALLY has his moment in chapter 67 I was so damned proud. From straw wrapper to metal straw, that’s the boss bitch I’d been waiting for!!

A waste of eyeball usage.

The comments were right. Was extremely mid. I was almost able to finish it but I was so glad to be done with it, I skipped the last 5 chapters.

Highlights:

Around chapter 60 the artist decided to try something different with their faces and everyone hated it apparently cause eventually it did revert back.

At chapter 87 they introduced lube. And honestly I was offended. Lube? In my Omegaverse? (Not really, just though it was a wild time—the end—to canonize omegas needing lube.)

The baby uses full sentences at a year old. Must be an alpha. To be fair the baby was a huge plot point while doing time inside the belly, but as promised, that baby was a backdropwhen it popped out. (Not a bad thing, but I did miss the usual cuteness aggression from baby moments)

Seowon (the omega) acted like a virgin or a prude half the time. (Mostly after the baby was born)

And what do you mean in the six years they were pheromone partners Dogyeom (the alpha) never ate seowon’s ass, never asked to get his dick sucked, never asked for shower sex, and never sucked Seowon’s nips??? FOR SIX YEARS… 4/5 times a week?? What were they doing??? Playing parcheesi as foreplay??

Don’t get me wrong. It was mildly entertaining but I wouldn’t read it again.

Also, can I be so for real? I’m so tired of the squirting trope where they think it’s pee and want to go to the bathroom. Give me a bottom that demands to be fucked till they soak the bed instead.

I went from, “Hwan, I’m going to be to your new Mother,” to “Your father and I are getting a divorce” in ten panels.

Watching them negotiate during the slide show was so cute. He knew what he was doing. He knows a binding contract when he sees it.

I don’t mind toxic stories or flawed red/black flag characters. In fact, I’d go as far as to say I like them. I find conflict makes for a richer story for my personal enjoyment.

But what I do not like is a story that invents conflict for no reason. They were both lying pretty innocently when they first met. Inhwee said he had a lot of experience and Jeongwon said he had very little.

Big deal. It was cute and even innocent enough and Jeongwon even protected Inhwee’s pride. If Jeongwon had called him out, Inhwee would have left the entire school, he even admits something similar at one point.

Jeongwon was obviously very into Inhwee and had very hot and cold reactions when responding to Inhwee.

When it was him becoming cold because Inhwee confessed and then basically retracted it, I understood it. But then he’d start pulling that shit for everything. It’s giving BPD tendencies or manipulation except he did it when Inhwee reacted the way he wanted too??? You could argue that he was trying to hold back so he wouldn’t scare him off, but I never felt like I fully understood the character. Just boiling to icy in .02 seconds

I appreciated that Jeongwon was aggressive in pursuing Inhwee but was always willing to stop (until the park bench scene.)

Actually, sometimes he asked Inhwee if he wanted him to stop SO MUCH, that it would have felt from Inhwee’s pov like Jeongwon didn’t want to be there and he wanted Inhwee to be the one to draw the line. (The motel scene)

Actually, it felt like Jeongwon was completely rewritten during season 2, like he was already weird and obviously an asshole, but the boy fell off sanity ridge and landed in unstable canyon.

Once they started dating, Inhwee was self conscious and concerned about Jeongwon being popular so much that he spent a large portion of the manhwa pouting regardless of how much Jeongwon proved that he only looked at Inhwee. Like my dude. He could not reassure his ass anymore.

I look at them and all I see is two characters who affect each other in such a negative way… their actions only pull out bad/sad reactions from the other. Even when it’s meant to comfort. the toxic cycle just makes me hate them together.

It started out so cute. I thought it would be fluffy with a touch of plot but this just feels like a gross, hot mess.

I actually feel a bit jealous of anyone who could enjoy it genuinely without hating them by then end.

Damn. They gonna need a bigger bed.

Art is fantastic, story is pretty good, the lack of chapters where the artist/author could really explore the potential of their story is the biggest crime.

but the designs have me wondering if this is the author’s thinly veiled Elezen OCxMeteor Smut… if so, good for them (and very high key, us). ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I can’t read any more of this. I was already struggling through it, but then Heeyeon tells his classmate that he’s hanging out with the MC because he’s being THREATENED??? Trash.
