I really like Park Chul Jin, he’s a complicated character and I think by the time his story is completely told, we’re gonna find out that he separated from Minwoo because Minwoo kept trying to give him things/break up housekeeping because of him.
At first, he thought it was okay, because he thought the things he was receiving was second hand (like the books) or not a big deal (like a meal). But then he finds out it’s not. Minwoo is spending money like crazy to impress him, and it’s driving a wedge between Minwoo and his family. He likes Minwoo, but he doesn’t want to be pitied or bought, and he doesn’t want to be the reason why a family isn’t getting along.
Minwoo is JUST as guilty for not talking to Park Chul Jin, it’s just that we get more POV from Minwoo so it’s easier to see why he’s frustrated or feel his anger might be justified. That scene where park Chul Jin went back to his place to shower before showing up in front of Minwoo? Seemed SHADY, but dude obviously has an issue with germs (but seems to like Minwoo’s germs just fine).
Is park Chul Jin bad at communicating? Yeah. Does he come off underhanded??? Yeah, absolutely, and he was kinda dirty for how he interacted with some other characters, but I think he’s only ever had eyes for Minwoo and let’s be honest, he kind of made that known when he first met Norman’s bf (sorry dude, I can’t remember your name right now)
Either way, this is super interesting and I’m excited to learn more!! (▰˘◡˘▰)
(I don’t fault anyone for not liking him btw, I just happen to like him and needed to word vomit!)
Can’t wait for Chul-Jin’s POV because he pisses me off into oblivion but that was the case with Bambi too. He just comes off so manipulative, even if his intentions aren’t malicious. He was fooling around kissing some girl to make Minwoo jealous and that’s just disgusting to both the girl and Minwoo. He’s also not shy to use people, even though he himself doesn’t like to feel like a burden or whatever whenever he receives expensive gifts from Minwoo.
Hypocrite and manipulator. He’s difficult to read. I can’t wait to see what caused Minwoo to outright hate him and Bambi

Normally, a story like this, while not my favorite, is usually at least cute in my book. But I have so many reasons for it being on my last nerve.
Taejun ignores Hongyeon, cancels their date, then invites Hayun on their first official date all to play Cupid and then tries to make up for it with the phrase, “you can do whatever you want to my body later.”
It feels manipulative for a non smut centric story. And sure, Hongyeon is throwing a tantrum and comes off as all consuming at times, but I’d be mad too.
Playing Cupid is always more important to Taejun. At some point he needs to play Cupid for his own relationship and stop taking for granted that Hongyeon likes him so much. And for Hayun especially, who tried to cause SO MANY ISSUES after being sincerely shot down … repeatedly. What kind of spoiled brat behavior is that and then tells Mun Jaeho that they don’t suit each other cause he’s “just a salaryman.” If you don’t sit your princess ass down.
I really wanted to like it, ╥﹏╥
