Things wouldn't have gotten this bad if only she told him before that she wanna go back bcoz of her mom. The result would still be abandoning her husband and child but at least he would know shes doing it for her sick mother, not bcoz she doesn't care about them. He shouldn't have lied either, which ended up giving a chance to his father to make her doubt and manipulate her.
i see some ppl rlly can't handle complex characters huh. either they believe talia does no wrong "her actions are justified" or they believe talia is straight up evil lmao its like theres no in-between. imo she isnt evil but shes no good either. her having trauma and being a victim doesn't give her the right to behave like that to every human she sees but it doesn't mean she doesn't deserve any sympathy. she deserves way better and we can love her but lets not make excuses for some of her actions. i for one like her how she is, such a female lead is so rare to see in manhwas
Well said. A lot of people fall in this pit of being one sided in opinions, your points can be multi faceted, different characters perspectives are at play. Ayla is pitiful in her own way, dead mother, violent brother, unloving relationship, evil stepmother and half sister who wants her dead. She’s designed to be the typical goody two shoes, but we get to see the result of her privilege and how her innocence harms Thalia.
Thalia is acting from the way she learned to survive, in albeit an extreme manner. She knows quite well she is in the wrong, but just can’t manage to turn things around, and is going to keep hurting herself and others because she doesn’t know how else to deal with things. This is also immaturity, but it stems from victimhood. At what point do you draw the line? I think Thalia is crossing the line from victim to villain by hurting Ayla, who isn’t really the source of her problems.
Exactly. Each of the characters have their own reasoning, logic and emotions. They cant be solely defined with just a few traits like "oh this character has so and so personality traits" which is why this manhwa piqued my interest. I also dont see Ayla as a pure villain like some do. Yeah shes not innocent and dare i say even malicious at times bcoz of her resentment but thinking of her as pure evil for not liking Talia isnt it. If i was her, I wouldnt be able to accept it either tbh. It might not be right but humans dont always do whats right. I just dont like how Ayla blames only Talia and Senevier but not her cheater father. They both have good and bad traits, and thats what makes it interesting.
i expected the plot to have more than just romance and smut but damn this is intense. i expected angst and problems but such a huge crime? whats this, mystery and thriller? not hating btw its interesting to read. its just that i thought relationship issues would be biggest problem they would face or smth haha
this turned out to be much more enjoyable than i expected!! i just gave it a try since i heard theres no romance and indeed theres no annoying damsels in distress throwing themselves at MC, im so glad its all bromance instead btw Lancelot is so fine lol bro better join MC in the future, hes too good to be just an extra
