not exactly all of the hounds, but at least one (notice how the girl hound was still asking if ML was ok?)- and the story led up to it tho, like there were chapters already when they were questioning ML's loyalty to the town/hounds coz he was showing favor to the MC more, this new chapter was just the final thread that cut the illusion that ML is living for the town alone, which is why that hound dipped (and might convince others to do the same)
Thats definitely clear but we saw like 3 hounds and none exactly sane. Redhead had some daddy issues, the snake like dude is a double edged sword and not being unfair but the girl is just there? All naive. Maybe they will elaborate her character but when? The plot feels a little hollow and too rushed. Also, the townspeople switch up needs to be studied. They did a 180. Going from no balls to too much courage lol( but I kinda get them).
I think the hounds are meant to be unstable and they are very loyal to ML coz dude's the most unstable (and indestructible) of all, they built a cult following around him as their literal god, but now that he's showing weakness, some are having second thoughts; imagine you're in the justice league and you worship superman coz he's so strong and all that, then you see him being bound by a group of civilians to do their bidding only coz Lois is their leader, the perception would definitely change *not saying they're heroes, this is just the easiest comparison with widely known characters. Also the townspeople got their balls from the MC, the chapters led up to it as well, they even thanked him in the recent chapter, what's infuriating though is that they almost did it on a whim like they don't even have a solid plan, and if not for the ML backing down coz MC stopped him, they would have just retreated coz they don't want to die, but they can't exactly fend for themselves either
