They knew each other back in high school/school, I forgot how far back it went. Mc didn't exactly know the guy but he accidentally pushed the ml down the stairs. The ml moved into mc's old apartment and goes back to get a package his ex sent to that old address, so that's how mc meets the ml again is when the mc gets the package from the ml.
