I will emphasize on communication and how long the relationship has been going on to explain why it can be so sudden irl. I'm not saying the rape part of the story is a good thing. I hate rape in Yaoi and how it's portrayed. What I am SAYING is that it is very prevalent in yaoi and when the cover and the entire plot deal with this entire idea of "claiming" other people, obviously it's implied that the story isn't gonna be sunshine's and rainbows. It's not very surprising when you come to this chapter and get this sort of result.

If I am going to be honest, the ending was unsatisfying, I feel they should have ended it with the friend just being the mastermind, adding Rei made things complicated at the last minute.
