I felt like the emperor actually loved the og concubine but got distant since he kinda betrayed his expectation like the concubine still punishing the servants etc tho its sad since the og only want to be loved but i mean it doesnt excuse his actions at all
I havent read the novel but i kinda wish that it is like two souls in one body merged together rather than one soul being really dead
Both this and the novel has dark ending different yet similar scenarios how they are bound to have toxic relationship due to the gods just fucked up ngl
