The comment before me already explain a lot. They heal, learn, and move on from tge past. What i like about this story, the writer didn't end the story with them having kids in the end. No worries tho, they will surrounded by kids becuse of anette's (and his husband? Is he even counted, lol) job.
It is a really good novel, got me hooked on the slow burn and how Annette heals and evolves.Shes amazing! I really recommend reading it (≧∀≦)
