I honestly can't see season 2 ending without MC and ML crashing and burning. Both are escapees trying to escape the world they live in while finding comfort in eachother, but since MC isn't emotionally as stable as ML, and with the hints we have been getting, I honestly think S2 might end him trying to unalive himself. He could even be having high functional depression right now, and the angst that comes from family dynamics hits hard.
It's definitely going to be save you save me situation, but it's also going to be a long long journey .-. bless my heart and yours
