This might be a controversial opinion, judging by the consensus of other comments, but I really like the turn this took when Rei decided to disruptbtheir relationship and challenge the protagonists'... views, i guess?
Their relationship was unhealthy and unsustainable as shit, and Takeru's whole inner monologue about isolating Kimihito from everything and everyone and make him even more dependent on him was scary as hell. Red flags everywhere. I know this kind of dynamic is a common trope in Yaoi/BL in general, so seeing these manga employ them only to turn around and atually challenge them? Groundbreaking. Fantastic. I adore this.
I'm really looking forward tk seeing our main duo actually work to separate themselves as individuals, heal, and then choose each other anyways. Beacuse of love rather than habit, this time. I've got high hopes for this, really high.
(Also, Momoru is my favorite character hands down. If the main couple didn't have so much chemistry I'd definitely be back on my Second Lead Syndrome bullshit again. Hell, maybe I still am, except i just want a whole manga of just him being the king that he is; with Kimihito x Takeru just being a cameo couple like in all those bl manga spinoffs.)
