The fact that he was a middle schooler when they had sex... Would have made it much more understandable had they waited a few years but sometimes things happen and he clearly said he was the one who pushed the older one into having sex though that doesn't mean that the older should not have been responsible but man - people slip. Also about the cousin thing - people do get married to their cousins in the world it's not incest - but for some other cultures it is I understand it's like that in my culture too. But the author is not promoting pedophilia or incest or daddy kink or suicide. She is actually not ignoring these aspects kg the gay society - these aspects lie in the heterosexual ones too so why such a fuss . Why shouldn't there be work with characters having relationships beside the norm while being a homosexual that's already considered beside the "norm" ? I understand the fact that paedophilia is a criminal offence it's unjustifiable but the older one did not force the younger one into the relationship - it's still a little uncomfortable but it happens I mean had they been the same age then that would have been no issue. And did at any point the preach that their love was true love? She always highlighted by taking their situation as an example that a simple wish to love and be in love is not being granted. She never said it the relationship was right but nobody was posing the relationship majorly cause of the age Isse it was cuz of the sexuality. Some things we have to take with a grain of salt and focus and understand what the story is actually telling . The story is a story it's coercing us into doing all that stuff it's just telling us of it - not promoting paedophilia or suicide or anything

Notice that even though we might not be similar to the characters or the author in anyway - family situation, color , sexuality, gender, body , age - anything , but we still relate to them(even if) sometimes and feel like yeah I know . Even the author who might not be those characters or similar to them is writing that stuff ND it doesnt feel out of place and some people who might be in similar situations like the characters might not completely relate - show that normal is in the eye of the beholder - normal is diverse.

The characters are so real.... But feel unreal cuz the face and sides of people you see are limited - it's mostly what they want you to see... So when you read their inner thoughts and reasons and how complex each and every being is you realize that while being unique we are all the same there are thoughts that swish by in our heads that have shown up in others too...cant criticise anybody cause there is no antagonist here... It's just people like us who have bad choices maybe worse than ours but maybe because the emotions and stuff they felt at that moment. You know when you know that is not right you still end up going through with it because this impulse inside you - something like that. I hope everything plays out well but since the author has been emphasizing on the point that she won't be writing a story where certain things are ignored for the sake of the plot -- so sincere all life is something opposite like - plot being ignored for the life to play out -- I don't know how this is going to end. I hope for he.
