I really hate stories where one character is “winning” for too long. If there’s no give and take it starts to give me the rapey-icks :/

I desperately want FL to tell off the ML- I really really wish she would hit him with a “I have no use for people who not only don’t believe me, but implied that I should be happy with a life as a nun or a commoner.” The nerve of him to be so awestruck when all she does is change her clothes and show up to that event after he told her not to talk about him… I wish she would just tell him “I won’t talk about you so long as you don’t talk TO me.”!!!!! I know FLs never literally ever stick up for themselves though so I’m sure I’ll just get mad that she’s instead flattered by his attention and she won’t care at all about anything that happened before- LIKE HIM GETTING HER IN TROUBLE BY MAKING A SCENE WHERE SHE WAS SENT AWAY FOR A YEAR AND DISOWNED FOR. And THEN to say that bc of that experience she has changed like everyone else who goes to covenant- as if he knew who she was at all before??? Why do FLs NEVER get angry about this kind of stuff? It’s okay to make the ML work early on to prove they are worth sticking around.
