Sorry I accidentally clicked dislike while scrolling. Also yeah brainwash and juuuuuust lots of misleading. I'll love penny but let's get real she has a hand in causing his betrayal. She feeds him lies and manipulatively told him "she and him have only each other and they must leave one day the dukedom". Jealousy, obsession and brainwash did the job by making him believe "even if he hurts her it's fine in the end since he's just helping her get out". His strategy was to have Penelope kicked out by bringing Yvonne. He wouldn't have known of the certain Dead End that comes with Yvonne's return.
And lowk I'm tired of people saying Penelope didn't use him because she did plan to romance him (like me fake laughing at my boss's crappy jokes) and do his route. These claims all ALL MISS THE POINT. Penelope's plans was to romance him until they got out, she never planned to stick or actually fall in love with him. It's an OPPORTUNIST MOVE. Her doing it for survival doesn't change that fact. Like a thief stealing medicine to save his ill parents. Done with good intentions but, doesn't change the fact that by definition he did steal.
