I never finished Pearl Boy and ended up putting it on hold a few years ago. However, I recently read about this storyline, and it really piqued my interest. Would I need to finish Pearl Boy first to fully understand it, or can I start this one directly?
You can read it directly, but for better experience for dooshik jooha as they become supporting characters.. then read Pearl boy first. Though you can still understand itd plot even without reading pb
Pearl Boy is about a whole different couple, and while this is the second manwha after events and based another couple, you dont need to since nothing appears from comes back from Pearl Boy storyline. The MCs from Pearl boy do appear in this since one of them does work under Seunghyeun.

Yes it worth ready I think think it's boring like other historical royalty kind of manga. I felt so into it and read until last update chapter because you will fall inlove with them.
