this is very boring,, sorry if it sounds mean but the cliche-ness of the ML is just boring for me. One of his conditions is for his bride not to fall in love with him yet as soon as Nevaeh accidentally falls on his lap he’s blushing and starts falling for her?? Maybe I’m just a complainer but I just hate when the leads fall for each other over the dumbest/smallest things. I know Valor was crappy to her but he actually has more character interest to him than the ML does. Also the red knight and the little sis ship is a bit :// like yeah maybe she gets older and they get together but like there wasn’t really a need to start developing it when she’s so young— yes, 14 is young. Even taking in the knowledge that it’s a historical manhwa, 16 is the age where girls are considered adults so there wasn’t a need to really start developing this now. Storywise I’m just not a fan.
*spoliers to the last couple of chapters!!* The last few chapters showed Shuli’s death. However, thats just a back story to her first life before she was brought back to life. In the beginning, Jeremy was getting married and she decided not to attend but we never got to see why she transgressed back 7 years. Until now that is, we can she was murdered. How she transgressed? I dont know lol. I’m sure Season 2 will be showing her life as the Machioness :) I hope this helped to those who were confused
The ending was very open and it left me a bit empty. However, it was very fitting for this story. Romance was always pushed to the back burner with this story and I think from chapter 74 it was clear that Kyohei had feelings for Sunako and as for Sunako I would say chapter 100 was when it was clear she had some underlying feelings for Kyohei. These characters are just not fitted for typical romance, they both dont want confessions of love or the need to kiss and be sexual together. They have a very close bond to the point where Kyohei knew the words to say when she needs to hear them and how Sunako knows not to take some of the bullshit Kyohei says seriously. I think the ending was a love confession in itself as Sunako told Kyohei he’s the only one who is the most sparkly in her eyes and Kyohei smiles. So even though I would have loved to see Kyohei and Sunako progress their love further, it just wouldn’t feel right to see them get married because thats just...not them. They’re the couple that fights and refuse the idea of love but find themselves relying on each other the most and feeling most at peace when they’re together. I think that’s a good ending for me because it shows that these 5 still have a long road ahead of them and their friendship is no where near over. I have loved this series for many years and am thrilled I finally got the chance to finish it. (●'◡'●)ノ
