They are high school students so maybe around 17 or something. They are mentally that age but they are physically 5 year olds so they couldn’t really fend for themselves when they were getting beaten by Rurahel and harassed by the maids. Of course they’d be afraid of Rurahel since she did abuse them mentally and physically for 5 years and it was natural for them to hate the king since they thought he had abandoned them during that time. It didn’t help when they had overheard the conversations between the crown prince and king when the crown prince said that the king would have killed the children when they were born but now they cleared up the misunderstandings ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I know they eventually understood each other but it’s still not a good flow of story. They died when they were 18 and then plus 5 years of being a child so 23yrs old as they said, they should be already mature. I know they got beaten but it’s still not a good story that they can easily be influenced by other people and act like a kid

bruh their cells are still young yk, the trauma they hsd because of the abuse and being reincarnated in a childs body does have some effects.
