It’s weird you see that as flirting lmfao. Have you never been flirted with before to think any sort of friendly interaction from the opposite sex is romantic interest? Weird bro.

No one goes ever realistically should get interested with a baby no matter what age. They're not even relatives and for him to seek her out every single time and is even cold towards the older sister. MC cannot even talk.. just imagine all those scenes but without MC pov thoughts... he kissed her on back of her hand, continuously seeking her out, fought so hard for during the knight thing. It would have honestly worked if she was older and could talk but... yh but instead if flirting could synonym be early courting.

There is no romantic interest whatsoever unless you make it seem that way. Literally anyone who has been a kid or has been around kids would know this ain’t flirting. Kissing on the back of the hand is literally common back in historical time periods and is a greeting often done to ladies. It does not automatically mean romantic interest. I’m surprised you don’t know that after the multiple historical settings stories have.

As well as the fact that what you’re saying is hypocritical. The family literally does the exact same thing which is visiting the FL constantly and wanting to be close with her. The only difference is that you’re somehow making it weird and biased because he’s unrelated. He’s only been shown to be cold to ONE person in the entire story and the story isn’t even finished. You forget he’s also a CHILD. Have you never seen or been a kid in your life?? I’ve seen plenty of times where kids want to constantly follow around other kids they want to be friends with- and avoid/ignore those they don’t want to be friends with. There’s never a good reason for it- it’s just NORMAL KIDS ACTING LIKE KIDS. Most likely they will resolve their dislike for each other and be in good terms. You’re way too used to the unrealistic kids in these stories acting like they’re 10 years older and have to have perfect manners.

The story literally spelled out why he’s lonely because he no longer has his parents or other friends. You can go back and read the chapter where the brother and him had a fight and the plot literally shoved in your face the reason.

It’s also the fact that you’re definitely older than the character but acting way more childish than him. Please use your brain, why TF would a 5/6 year old know anything about AGE GAPS or what should or shouldn’t be liked at certain age?????? WHO would tell him that? His nonexistent parents?? You’re not thinking at all. You’re trying to apply MODERN WORLD OLDER thinking to a CHILD. As a child I knew nothing about what’s okay with age gaps at fucking 5 years old. You’ve gotta be joking rn.

Also one more very important info. If what you’re saying is true and he’s flirting with the FL- it would make sense for the PARENTS OF THE FL to notice and tell him off or be protective against him when it comes to the FL. But you wanna know why they’re not like that and always let him play together? Because they have the brain to know he’s not romantically courting their daughter. He’s acting like a regular kid that wants to be friends. It would make sense for the overprotective dad to not want a boy with a crush near his daughter- but the dad had no concerns at all, simply because there’s no romantic interest so far. So your words literally makes no sense in this story whatsoever. You’re making YOURSELF uncomfortable with a dirty mind.

Please reevaluate the way you think and ask yourself why you think this way. Not every nice action from the opposite gender is equal to romantic interest. Also the dad fought hard for his daughter during the knight thing which is the same. You’re just being biased and hypocritical. You’re ruining the story with your own mind
