The drastic change is crazy. Like how you gonna go from cute, fun, loving teenage romance (w/ dark, abusive undertones ofc since it's historical), to full on grape, dark, slavery, hopeless tragedy.
My jaw literally dropped when I saw the heads hanging. And it's crazy how this is totally realistic, like your life could change in the drop of a hat. I'm glad I wasn't born in that time period....
