Is it just mine or is the Latest Updates page having this weird issue where new manga is added but the top manga remains one that was updated like way earlier in the day? I've had the Cosplay Animal on my list forever now while new stuff is added below it. And it kind of looks like another title is stuck in second place. I just want to see what's new!

I don't think so, but you can always tag manga as "read" and not add it to your "already read" list...
No I dont think that its possible, but as a solution if you want to keep a manga you could add them to want to read until them are completed there it isnt notification.
I know how you feel. There're 2 ways you can do..
-- 1 Leave it as 'read' which you still can rate & review why you don't like it so you won't make a mistake, going back to read it again later. Just ignore the new update,
-- 2 Delete it if you don't wanna involve with it anymore. (>‿O)v

Ok question! Does anyone remember an older manga with a female lead, dealing with magic. Magicians have marks on their skin related to their training, the female lead has one on her stomach? maybe her breast? The enemy is kinda creepy and has this binding ability? and was attempting to search down people who had the tally marks. Both dressed in normal type clothes, no time era or magical type stuff.
Sorry it's for a friend and it's been forever since she read it. I know it was licensed in the US and in actual book form but it's not one I'm familar with. Anyone recall anything like that?
only manga can get me to read like a 100 chapters about a sport I could care less about in reality and enjoy every second of it! lol

Is anyone else having troubles using the arrow keys to get the pages of the mangas to turn? It use to work all the time for me and recently it hasn't been working at all. Not sure if I messed something up or if it's the web site! lol
I have the same problem but I figured how to solved it! whenever your arrow keys stop responding, use the mouse to click on 'prev' button. you'll be back to previous page. then use the forward arrow key. it should work then and you can use arrow keys freely to flip pages after that.
i think it's because of some bug when you are browsing other pages while reading on mangago? not sure.

I think it's just a color illustration by the author of Hana to Usagi :) Maybe it will become a new manga :) I'll tell you if I find out more about it :)

I hate April Fool's day so very much...I feel shouldn't even bother looking at the new updates since like half of them are completely crap 'joke' ones anyway.

Ngl, that shit makes me so mad. Like I know it's a joke, but I look forward to updates like a little kid looks forward to opening up presents under the tree on Christmas morning. Yaoi updates are my Christmas dammit, and I dislike deception! Joke or not.

A lot of groups seem to think it's funny to make up stupid joke translations of chapters and post them as new. So you get all excited to see a new chapter and bam, it's just a crappy joke. It's especially painful when it's from a manga that hasn't been updated in forever! *cries*
oh. I get it now. I saw the comment section on the homepage, they all have posted about pranks. Seriously, I would have been pissed, like you, if they ever prank-upload chapters, I''ve been waiting to upload like forever. Thank goodness. I was busy watching Tokyo Ghoul in KissAnime. Even that, the episodes are re-added and the comments from months ago are completely wiped out. ALso, the videos are not playing good. I wonder if this was a prank or something. I wouldn't have known about these pranks if not for you. Thank you.
Ok so I think I'm confusing myself. Yaoi and Shounen AI are both obviously boy love manga. I've always thought the difference between them was that Shounen Ai manga do not have sex shown between partners. While Yaoi does contain sexual scenes.
Now I'm told it just has to do with the age of the partners? Was I completely off my rocker on this? I keep seeing the Top 5 Shounen Ai being manga that I wouldn't consider Shounen Ai at all. So I want to make sure I'm not crazy. lol
I think it's about the sex too, not age.Except for 'Kare no Shousou to Koi ni Tsuite', all others in the top 5 list don't have explicit sex scenes, so I think if they removed the 'shounen'ai' tag in 'Kare no Shousou to Koi ni Tsuite', it should be fine.
Uhh no, like you said before shounen-ai is very light bl love while yaoi is more sexual.
it is mostly like that .shounen ai doesnt show sex explicitly while in yaoi the sex is shown completely
I have seen some stories go for several volumes before the characters actually have sex, so it doesn't "earn" it's yaoi rating until later. This can be confusing when both tags are listed, I'm sure.
Well I think shounen ai focuses more on the bond/ romance between the boys without too much sexual implications, it's pure romance. While yaoi offers romance with heavy sexual content... sometimes it also offers no romance and just pure sex sex and sex

If its an older man and a younger man (but 18++) it should be yaoi
And anything beneath is shota.
Of course, the site doesn't have specific tags like that so everything that contains BL is "shounen-ai" or "yaoi" or both :)

The one time wikipedia fails me! Ok so it looks like most of us think its the sexual side of things though so at least I'm not completely insane. Oh and kinda funny aside I always though the difference between Yaoi and Bara was that Yaoi was written for a mostly female audience and Bara was written for a male audience!
But from the responses I don't think anyone will mind if I submit reports asking them to delete the Shounen Ai tag from series that contain explicit sex?

Twice in a row now my notifications are showing that I have 0 updated mangas to read, when I know there are dozens that have had chapters update from the Lastest lists. Anyone else getting this error?

I am getting my updates, have you clicked "Read" or "Reading" in the manga options page for each manga you ae waiting for updates on? If so, it should show updates, but if you have not clicked this option, then it won't show the updates.

Hmm normally i get my updates at a certain time in the morning that shows all the mangas I've marked. But for the last two days it comes up as 0 Manga have new update. Which is a bit odd, oh well maybe just a holiday glitch. LoL
Is there an actual term used for when a straight guy falls for a gay guy? I mean I would normally use the term bi-sexual but it seems a case of I want to sleep with this one gay guy, not all gay guys. I don't think the term gay applies as well since obviously they've had relationships with women by choice and attraction in the past. But mangas seem to avoid the use of bisexual like it's a plague word, so I'm curious is there a term for it in yaois?

have you heard of the term 'gay for you'? it's used mainly by slash/gay books enthusiast. but yeah, it described a man who became gay for just that one man they fall in love with, other man didn't do it for them.
From what I was taught a guy is gay if he is sexually attracted to only men, bisexual meaning being attracted to both genders. So if a straight guy falls in love with a gay guy, it doesn't automatically mean that he's gay or prefers men. I don't know if this applies in yaoi too though.

Pansexual is another term used, it just means that the gender of the person is not as important as who that person is ... it also has less negative connotations.
Your question isn't odd. In some mangas, I've read the term "only gay for x - the name of the person". I've read it in one of Sadahiro Mika's works (I think it was surf junkie or something like that).
I am not aware of any particular Japanese term for this situation but there is a more savant expression which is used to describe what you are talking about. It is "situational sexual behavior"

I found other interesting technical terms like "heteroflexible" and "androphilic". I think that both of them should be used with an adjective to limit their usage to the situation you are describing. I also find the second one quite interesting, it fits the situation you are describing perfectly if we say "situational androphilic" to emphasize the masculinity of both the subject and object of this situational attraction.
Heteroflexible means "mostly straight" but occasionally attracted to a same-sex person.
has anyone had any issues where mangas that they've checked as Reading are being deleted from their lists?
I mean I see new chapters posted of mangas and when I click on them it doesn't show me as reading them at all, even though I know I've marked them in the past.
It happened to me too, I dont know if it is because some times there are duplicate manga, and then when someone reports the error, the manga duplicate is removed from the site and for this it is no longer marked.
However i just remarked them when i noticed it.
and now they are still marked :)
