Depends on the beans, theres some types that have a heavy dark and bitter taste and theres some thats light almost chocolatey taste and its good, still adding sugar tho I don't like when its JUST black coffee

It's true... Cause why i can easily stomach ice americano with 2-3 shots of espresso like a regular water when i was in South Korean coffeeshop and on EMPTY stomach on top of that, but MY HEAD HURT LIKE CRAZY, VISION BLURRED AND I FEEL NAUSEOUS ASF WHEN I DRINK COFFEE FROM MY HOMETOWN?!! I mean... i even added sugar too, not much but it's still there.

I think how the coffee bean is prepped helps with the taste and bitterness, black coffee or americanos for most cafes is just diluted espresso, espresso shots themselves can be pretty bitter too cuz its literally coffee extract. My family prefers grinding and filtering the coffee grounds ourselves, allat + freshness affects the whole thing and the level of bitterness, done right and it makes for some really good coffee, especially with the right blend of beans
