I’m pretty sure it’s the emperor’s wife (I don’t rmb if she was the empress or a concubine). She’s the only one with this hair color — unless it’s a completely new character — but it would make sense for her to attend and would impact the story greatly if she overheard their conversation. Will she fire Diarin? Will she condemn her/punish her/put her in jail? Or maybe she’ll be supportive and help them get together? Either way this’ll up the stakes a little and make things more interesting. And if it’s a completely new character then maybe she’ll get in between them? Spread rumors? Who knows.

Erna gets so much hate but I feel like a lot of people forget how young she actually is. She’s barely just turned 21 + all of her experiences are so limited to her secluded home and bjorn. She’s just gone thru so much traumatic experiences and people are getting mad that she’s not “strong”. Idk i feel like she’s a bit more realistic, especially considering how sheltered and young she is.
like yeah don’t get me wrong it’s extremely frustrating watching everything happen to her n wanting her to stand up n want/do better but I feel like it’s just real yk

As characters. They are bad, just as the ml. This is the best story are characters solche wrote tbh. Bc of we think in Bastian and the FL (can't even remember her name, sorry).. it was just NOOO!!! HELL NOOO!!!! GET A GRIP!! Then of you think in Matthias and Lyla... Is just lord save Lyla she can't be this dumb and he is a crazy motherfucker.. I mean I get those stories are dark romance. But I can't avoid the comparisons with this story. The characters grow so so SOOOOO much and aren't just black and white. Love this story haha
idk i wanted kinda more in regards to the emperors brother. like maybe some type of redemption or like for them to pass some type of law or smth for him cuz of all the abuse and experimentation he went thru. + they didn’t finish playing out what he answered the late empress in that final memory we saw. idk i just feel like there was a lot more potential with him in the story instead of just being the bad guy
